All of us are hyped up for the SM Town Live ‘10 World Tour because all of our favorite SM artists are going to be performing on one stage, but do you really know what is in store for you?
First of all, SM Town is the project name used by SM Entertainment when releasing albums including all of their current recording artists. There have been a lot of SM Town vacation albums and there might be another released in Summer 2010. Aside from that, SM Town also conducts tours for SM artists to hold concerts around Asia, which is called SM Town Live.
What can you expect in this year’s SM Town Live tour?
This summer 2010, our favorite SM artists will not only be going around Asia, but also to the United States, specifically Los Angeles. The tour will kick-off at the Seoul Olympic Stadium this coming August 21st, followed by shows in the Staples Center in LA on September 4th, ShangHai on September 11th and in Tokyo as well.
The artist line-up will surely not disappoint you because all of their current stars will be gracing the event. First off will be BoA, who recently released her new album Hurricane Venus. She will be accompanied by KangTa and his ballad tunes. Let us not forget the famous idol groups SNSD, Super Junior, f(x) and SHINee. They will also be performing their hit singles that have blown the whole K-Pop universe away.
Anticipated special performances such as BoA’s duet with SHINee’s Key, Super Junior’s KyuHyun’s surprise duet with SNSD SeoHyun and a collaboration of the two famous Jung sisters will also be seen in the supposed 6-hour show. Actors Kim MinJong, Ara and Lee YeonHee will also be present to provide the audience entertainment.
Around 80 songs will be sang during the event and I’m pretty sure that it’s something that K-Pop fans would never miss, so I suggest that you buy your tickets now and have the time of your lives.

Life is indeed like a wheel that can be at the top or below anytime. For World Star, Rain, it seems that currently he is having his down moments in his career path.
Even when dating rumors between him and Jeon JiHyun were still floating around, he got involved in another accusation of ‘eating and running’ after selling J. Tune Entertainment Shares. Another bad luck moment for Rain was his humiliation as a designer after his clothing brand line, 6 to 5 was removed from shopping malls.
Back in 2008 during the brand launching, Rain promised $10,000,000 in sales. Unfortunately, after 2 years, the brand had to be shut down. Currently, 6 to 5’s internet site is having a ‘dumping sale’, selling clothes with discounts from 70% to 90% from the original price.
Aside from the controversy of 6 to 5 investors suing Rain for the loss, it was revealed that Rain actually did not participate in the designing process of the clothes that lead to a failure for foreign sales.
Rain who is currently filming for the upcoming KBS 2TV drama, Fugitive in a foreign country, claimed that he could not return to Korea for time being. Especially when he received a call for army enlistment for September 28th, he then claimed that he could not renew his passport. The series of incidents caused netizens to have unpleasant perceptions towards him.
Therefore many are wondering whether his upcoming drama will be able to redeem Rain’s current scratched image or not.
Hopefully Rain will continue to be patient and strong in facing all the current difficulties and finally sees the ‘bright sun’ in his career again. Never give up, Rain!

Compelling, surprising and downright spooky, the members of T-ara share their real life personal scary encounters. Halloween isn’t here yet but the girls are getting some spine chilling experiences in their dorm.
Core Contents Media, T-ara’s management, have been receiving numerous terrifying complaints from the girls about their spooky experiences in their dorm which is currently located at Gangnam, Seoul.
Despite their fame and popular hit songs, these girls are powerless when it comes to the things that bump in the night. According to the members of T-ara, they have been hearing baby cries at midnight.
Former group leader Eunjung shares her scary encounter stating, “Early in the morning, I heard the sound of a hair dryer coming from Jiyeon’s room, I thought she was blow drying her hair but I later found out that she was still asleep at that moment”.
Sounds pretty scary to me but wait till you hear Jiyeon’s part. “I was brushing my teeth and when I looked down, I saw a pair of man’s feet behind my feet,” according to the Death Bell 2 actress.
Core Contents Media have taken note of these complaints and are currently deliberating if they will move the girls to a different dorm. The management added, “At first I didn’t believe it but later there were more and more complaints from the girls saying that it’s too terrifying and now we are deliberating whether or not they are going to move.”

Seeya’s ex-leader, Nam Gyuri, gets invited to perform in China with 2AM and other Chinese artists.
After concentrating on her acting career with movies like Death Bell and her current SBS drama, Beautiful Life, Nam Gyuri will be making a small comeback as a singer. She is set to perform at the Korea-China Cultural Exchange Festival in Xining, China on August 19th. At the six day festival which started on the 16th, Nam Gyuri will be singing three songs, two of them being Flying in the Deep Night and Bicycle Comes Through My Heart.
Her management company Eyagi Entertainment expressed, “Nam Gyu-ri is excited about taking to the stage and she has been visiting the recording studio to rehearse for her performance in between her drama shoots.”
It’s been almost two years since Nam Gyuri has been seen performing on stage. Though her exit from Seeya and former management company Core Contents Media after her contract ended more than a year ago was quite controversial, we have to admit that she is one talented singer.

After arriving in Taiwan to promote his new album, Geng Xin, Hangeng appeared on the Shen Chun Hua Life Show and took the audience by surprise as he revealed intimate details about his life while with SM Entertainment.
With the life of not only an idol, but a member of one of the most popular boy groups in South Korea, Hangeng revealed that the tremendous stress ultimately led him to experience bouts of depression. Leaving China and traveling to South Korea for training at the young age of 19, Hangeng took notice of the different treatment he received for being a foreigner, “There is different treatment, the company may not have realized…but I always take note of the minor details, it made me uncomfortable at times.”
During Super Junior’s debut in 2005, Hangeng was only allowed to appear on three television channels because of the Korean laws regarding foreign artists. It was during a 2007 show that Hangeng decided to wear a mask to be able to perform on stage. “Before the performance, I was informed that I couldn’t perform on stage, but the routine of a 13 members group and the singing parts cannot be changed! I’m the only one wearing a mask, perhaps I can attract the audience’s attention even more easily!”
But despite his positive attitude, stress eventually took a toll on Hangeng. He began to grow frustrated and kept to himself as he found it hard to talk about it with his fellow Super Junior members. “When I was in Super Junior, I sometimes felt frustrated. There were days where I would lock myself in my room and just watch movies on my bed.”
“One day, I saw an article about a Korean idol committing suicide, it said that this idol was frustrated every day. I felt scared that I would become just like that idol and worried that I would follow in their footsteps,” Hangeng shared. It was after worrying about his future health that he decided to take action. “It is not due to one or two matters, I’m the kind of person who puts lots of matters in my heart and not voice it out, deciding to go solo is accumulated by many matters, I never wished to be a famous star, only wished to happily get along with members and staff…Everyone has a different desire… but I felt that being happy was more important.” Hangeng has now grown into a solo artist with a lot more control of his activities than before. Though throughout it all, he still worries about meeting his family’s expectations. On the previous day, Hangeng received a letter of encouragement from his father that caused him to tear up.

Hangeng hopes that in the future he’ll be able to have a steady relationship with a non-idol girlfriend. “Now that I have a new album, concert, and I still have a movie to work on, I want to stabilize my career first before I talk about relationships.”
Meanwhile, Hangeng’s Chinese activities are going well as You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. was a great success.
